Common Questions
Do I need to move everything out of the room?
No. We move and cover furniture ourselves and protect the floors. If there is anything fragile or valuable we would rather you handle it, but the heavy lifting is ours.
How long will a room take?
A straightforward bedroom is usually a day. Rooms with a lot of trim, cabinetry or repair work take longer, and the estimate gives you a day count rather than a vague promise.
Can you paint our kitchen cabinets?
Yes, and it transforms a kitchen for a fraction of replacing them. Cabinets need degreasing, deglossing and the right bonding primer or the finish will chip at the edges within a year. Done properly it holds.
Will the smell be bad?
Far less than it used to be. We use low odor products indoors wherever the finish allows it, and we ventilate as we work. Most rooms are comfortable to use again the same evening.
Do you help choose colors?
Yes. We can paint samples directly on your wall and look at them in morning, afternoon and evening light before you commit. See color consultation for how that works.
Do you repair the walls before painting?
Minor repair is part of the job. Nail holes, dents, hairline cracks and small drywall damage get filled, sanded and primed. Larger structural or water damage we will flag in the estimate so there are no surprises mid job.
How much does interior painting cost?
It depends on the size of the rooms, how much trim there is and how much prep the walls need, so we do not quote by the square foot sight unseen. The walkthrough and the written estimate are free.
Can you work around our schedule?
Usually. Most interiors are done on weekdays during normal hours, but if you need a room finished before a specific date or you work from home, tell us and we will plan the sequence around it.
Do you paint ceilings too?
Yes. Ceilings are often what makes a freshly painted room look flat or fresh, and a repainted wall next to a yellowed ceiling shows immediately. We will tell you honestly whether yours needs it.
